Import and export
Bring your clients, catalog and stock in from a spreadsheet, and download them as CSV.
Settings → Import & export has everything in one place. You can also start an import from the Clients, Catalog and Inventory pages.

Supported files
.csv, .xlsx or .xls (and .ods), up to 5,000 rows. The first row should be column headings. In a workbook, Fylder uses the first sheet with data.

Import step by step
Upload file
Drop your file on the page, or choose it.
Match columns
Fylder matches your columns to its fields automatically, using common names. For example, "Cell", "Mobile" and "Cell phone" all match Mobile phone, and "Zip" matches ZIP / postal code. Check each match, change any that are wrong, and set columns you don't need to Don't import. Sample values from your file help you check.
A single "Name" column can be split into first and last names: match it to Full name.
Review
Fylder checks every row before anything is saved and shows:
- Ready to import
- Rows with problems, with the reason, such as a missing name or a bad email
- Repeated in this file
Rows with problems are left out. Fix them in your file and import again, or carry on without them.
Import
Select Import. When it's done you'll see how many records were created, updated and skipped. If any rows weren't imported, select Download the rows that weren't imported to get a file you can fix and re-import.
Options for each import
- Rows without a status become Leads or Active clients.
- Skip clients already in Fylder or repeated in the file (on by default). Clients are matched by email or, when there's no email, by name and phone.
Moving from another app?
Export your clients and price list from your old system as CSV or Excel, then import them here. You don't need to rename the columns first; Fylder recognizes most common headings.
