Clients

Keep every customer's contact details, property address and full work history in one place.

A client is anyone you do work for: a homeowner, a property manager or a business. Every request, quote, job and invoice belongs to a client.

Add a client

Select Create → Client, or New client on the Clients page.

Under Client details, enter a first and last name, a company name, or both. You need at least one of them.

Add an email and up to four phone numbers: Main, Mobile, Home and Business. When Fylder can only show one, it uses Main, then Mobile, then Business, then Home.

Under Property address, enter where the work happens.

Under Additional details, set the status, lead source (how they found you), tags and any notes, such as a gate code.

Select Create client.

Leads, active and archived clients

StatusMeaning
LeadSomeone who has asked about work but hasn't paid you yet. New clients start as leads.
ActiveA paying client. A lead becomes active automatically the first time you record a payment from them.
ArchivedA client you no longer work with. They're hidden from the main list but keep their history.

You can change a client's status at any time by editing them.

The Clients page

The top of the page shows:

  • New leads: leads added in the past 30 days
  • New clients: clients who became active in the past 30 days
  • Total active clients, with the number of leads beside it

Use the tabs to show All, Leads, Active or Archived clients, and the search box to find someone by name.

A client's page

Open a client to see their contact details, property, balance and their whole history with you: requests, quotes, jobs, invoices and payments.

From here you can start new work for them with New request, New quote, New job or New invoice. The client is filled in for you.

Import and export

Moving from another system? Select Import on the Clients page to bring in a CSV or Excel file, or Export to download your client list as CSV. See Import & export.
